Maja

Animal Care Attendant Maja holding a dog

Client Care Representative

At our family practice, the saying “all hands on deck” applies without fail. From the age of four, I’ve ensured that each pet that came into the care of my family’s hospital was supplied with an abundance of belly rubs and treats. Like my brother Dario, lots of my free time growing up was spent helping our dad with procedures, eagerly awaiting instructions from behind the surgical suite window as to which “tube thingy”, blanket or other supply to hand him.

Nowadays, you are more likely to run into me at the front desk where I will greet you with a smiling face and a pocketful of treats. While I’ve retired from my unofficial position as the clinic’s “pup and kitten cuddler” in the kennels and exam room, I am still easy to be spotted handing out ear scratches in the lobby.

Unlike the rest of my family, my passions lie in the arts. I am heading into my second year of French Studies in the Concurrent Education program at Glendon College, and I’ve got my mind set on becoming a high school teacher somewhere in Europe once I have graduated. In the meantime, I will be spending lots of time travelling, reading and playing the piano with Beppa, our family’s wirehaired dachshund curled up next to me.
